We would like to invite your instrumental students to audition for the SCMEA 2013 All-County Instrumental Jazz Ensemble.

Audition date:  Monday, November 19, 2012, Commack High School
Audition registration deadline:  Monday, November 12, 2012.  

Mandatory rehearsal and performance dates:

Wednesday January 2, 2013 Rehearsal 6:30-9:30 PM, Commack High School
Wednesday January 9, 2013 Rehearsal 6:30-9:30 PM, Commack High School
Thursday January 17, 2013 Performance, 6:00 PM, Suffolk County PTA Principals Dinner
Wednesday January 30, 2013 Rehearsal 6:30-9:30 PM, Sayville High School
Saturday February 2, 2013 Performance 1:00 PM, SCMEA Jazz Day, Sayville High School
Tuesday March 5, 2013 Performance, SCMEA Day in Albany

All auditioning students must prepare a NYSSMA Level 6 Instrumental Jazz Solo (Consult the Manual).

Students will also be required to perform a level 6 jazz improvisation. CD Players WILL be provided!

Sight-reading (NYSSMA Level 6 Jazz)  will be required.

Audition times will be posted on the Instrumental Jazz Site on or about Tuesday, November 13, 2012.
