Dear Concert Band Parents and Students,

The Upper Classman's Concert Band will be performing in the Memorial Day parade on Monday May 28, 2007. This performance is replacing the graduation performance for the Upper Classman's Concert Band. The students have already been notified verbally.

They will need tan pants or Khakis (tan) with white sneakers or walking shoes. Smithtown Uniform Shirts will be provided by the district for students that do not already have a parade shirt. All students will arrive at the their respective schools by 8:45am and travel together to the parade site by bus. When we finish the parade in St. James, buses will take us to the parade in Smithtown. Students may be picked up from the end of the Smithtown parade (Town Hall) or travel by bus back to their respective schools. Hopefully, we should be all done at the HS by 1:30 PM.

St.James Parade route is on Lake Ave. from Woodlawn to St. James Elementary with memorial service.

Smithtown Parade route is on Main St. from Singer Lane (Dairy Barn)to Town Hall.

This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and an honor to perform on this national holiday.


This is a required performance and attendance will be taken.
